Toyota Fortuner is the best-selling SUV in the segment. The extremely popular SUV in its all-new avatar looks modern and very attractive with the sleek body design. Toyota’s premium brand Lexus also offers its vehicles in India but they come with an extremely expensive price tag. AutoMarc, a modification garage based out of Delhi is offering a bolt-on kit, that can transform the way the Fortuner looks completely and makes it look much more like the Lexus LX 570.
The Lexus kit changes the whole front-end of the vehicle completely. It gets an hourglass-shaped front grille, which is inspired by the Lexus SUVs. The bumper has also been replaced with new, more aggressive looking bumpers. At the lower end, the kit gets LED DRLs and fog lamps, which are quite bright and are again inspired by the Lexus vehicles. From the side, the design remains stock and the only additions are the side-steps.
At the rear, the Fortuner with the Lexus kit gets LED tail lamps with black inserts. The bumper has also been replaced and it now offers integrated quad exhaust that makes the vehicle look extremely good. The black Fortuner also gets aftermarket tail lamps mounted on the D-Pillar of the vehicle, spoiler and lower bumper. The white Fortuner gets dynamic turning indicators, which look extremely good on the car.
The kit consists of front Lexus Bumper, rear skirt with quad tips, side step boards, roof spoiler-mounted Led light bar, spoiler, Spoiler-mounted tail lamp, Lexus-styled Tail Lamps.
The price of such modifications can vary depending on the accessories opted by the customer. However, only the kit of the vehicle that includes the modification of the front-end will cost you around Rs 1.4 lakh plus taxes. Without the Toyota logo on it, the kit can sure make it difficult for a lot of people to guess the correct vehicle. Lexus SUVs are not very common on the Indian roads at the moment, which makes it more difficult for the regular public to make out the real-life differences in such vehicles.
While the kit will make the vehicle look like a Lexus, it should be noted that the Lexus LX570 is priced at Rs. 2.32 core, ex-showroom, India. The Lexus LX570 is powered by a 5.7-litre V8 petrol engine that generates a maximum of 363 Bhp at 5,600 rpm and a peak torque of 530 Nm. In comparison, the Toyota Fortuner’s 2.7-litre petrol engine only develops a maximum of 164 Bhp and a peak torque of 245 Nm. The 2.8-litre diesel engine of the Fortuner produces a maximum of 172 Bhp and 360 Nm of torque.
Nonetheless, Toyota is a global vehicle and is available in various parts of the world. There are many good-looking kits available for the Toyota Fortuner in the international markets and AutoMarc offers many of these kits right here in India. Even Toyota offers the official TRD kit for the Fortuner in India that adds a sporty look to the vehicle. You can contact them directly at 9310047313.
