Toyota Fortuner with Lexus body kit and customized interior looks premium [Video]

Toyota Fortuner is currently the most popular SUV in the segment. It has been available in our market for over a decade and its popularity does not seem to come down. It is a capable off-roader and there are several videos that shows how capable Fortuner can actually be. There are several examples of tastefully modified Toyota Fortuner from different parts of the country. One of the most common type of modification seen on Toyota Fortuner is the aftermarket Lexus body kit. Here we have one such video where a pre-facelift model Toyota Fortuner is modified to look premium with a Lexus body kit.

The video has been uploaded by Autorounders on their YouTube channel. The video shows how the car looked when it arrived at the workshop. It also shows how work was done on this SUV. The SUV was not in a bad condition but, the car had started looking old. The owner of the SUV wanted to give a fresh look to the SUV and that is why they decided to go with Lexus body kit. Autorounders are known to make custom made Lexus body kit but, the one installed in this SUV is an imported aftermarket unit.

The work starts by removing the front bumper and headlamps along with the grilles. There were several small scratches and dents on the SUV. The dents were removed and a thin coat of putty was applied on the SUV. Several panels including the bonnet were also given similar treatment. The car was then taken to the paint booth and the whole car was repainted. The owner continued with the Pearl White shade as it looks premium on Fortuner.

The aftermarket Lexus kit was also painted in the booth. The car was painted in the paint booth to achieve an even finish and avoid dust particles. The massive front grille gets a chrome outline which adds to the premium look of the car. The headlamps are the stock projector units. The lower part of the bumper gets a muscular look. There is a boomerang -shaped dual-function LED DRL on the new bumper as well. Coming to the side profile, the car looks the same as regular Fortuner. Even the alloy wheels remain the same. There dual-tone alloy wheels, roof rails, chrome door handles are all retained.

As we move to the rear, more modifications on SUV are visible. The car gets LED tail lamps, LED pillar lamps, chrome garnish below the number plate and the roof mounted spoiler can also be seen.  Just like the front, rear bumper on this SUV has also been customized. The rear bumper is part of the Lexus body kit and it comes with faux quad exhaust tips and reflector LED lamps on them. The interior of this SUV was in a bad condition as it was being roughly used. The car interior theme was completely changed. It now gets a Deep Red/brown coloured upholstery. The fit and finish of the seat covers are good and the car looks more premium from outside and inside.
