Maruti Baleno-based Toyota Glanza in red, blue, silver & grey colours on video

Toyota Glanza, the first product from the Suzuki-Toyota partnership to be launched in India is the most affordable mild-hybrid car that you can buy in India. The rebadged version of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno offers the mild-hybrid technology at a lower price than Maruti Suzuki and comparing both the vehicles at variant level gives us a fair idea on how competitively both the vehicles are priced in the market. There is nothing much different in both the vehicles except for the grille, logos and the standard warranty, which is much higher with the Toyota Glanza when compared to the Maruti Suzuki Baleno.

Even the colour options of both models are almost similar. Here is a video of Toyota Glanza that shows the vehicle in four different colours by BMC HD Videos. Now, this video shows the all-around view of the Toyota Glanza in Sporty Red, Insta Blue, Gaming Grey and Enticing Silver. All four colours have been well-shot. Toyota offers five colour choices with the Glanza. The only colour missing from this video is the Cafe White colour.

The Toyota Glanza is identical to the Maruti Suzuki Baleno when it comes to the looks. There is no major differentiating factor between the two cars except for the warranty part. Both the cars are even powered by the identical engine that develops identical power. The Toyota Glanza is priced at a base price of Rs 7.22 lakh, ex-showroom and the top-end model is priced at Rs 8.9 lakh ex-showroom. The Glanza is the first hatchback launched by Toyota in the premium segment in India. It is available in two trims – G and V. There are four variants available with the car. These two trims are based on the Baleno’s Zeta and Alpha trims.

The Glanza will not offer any diesel engine option. Both the engines are BS6 compliant. The G trim gets the 1.2-litre K12N engine with the mild-hybrid system. It produces a maximum power of 89 Bhp and peak torque of 113 Nm. The V trim gets the regular K-Series K12N engine without the mild-hybrid system. It churns out a maximum power of 82 Bhp and peak torque of 113 Nm. Both the engine options get the 5-speed manual transmission as standard and there is an option of 7-step CVT automatic transmission too. The Glanza offers the same fuel efficiency as the Maruti Suzuki Baleno. The mild-hybrid engine returns a maximum of 23.87 km/l while the non-hybrid manual version returns a maximum of 21.01 km/l, the non-hybrid CVT automatic returns a maximum of 19.56 km/l.
