Toyota Glanza TVC released: Check it out!

Toyota has launched the all-new Glanza in the Indian market. It is a rebadged version of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno and the price starts at Rs 7.22 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. This is the first rebadged vehicle in the Indian market from the Toyota-Suzuki partnership and it will take on the likes of Maruti Suzuki Baleno and Hyundai Elite i20 in the Indian market. Toyota has officially released the TVC for the all-new Glanza in the Indian market and here’s the video.

The Toyota Glanza is available in two trim levels – G and V while there are four variants available with the car. The most expensive variant is priced at Rs 8.9 lakh, ex-showroom. Toyota Glanza has already started reaching the dealerships and soon the deliveries will begin too. The car is available only with petrol engine options and gets both manual and automatic transmission as an option.

The Toyota Glanza is available with two engine options and there is a mild-hybrid version available with the car too. Both the engine options are BS6 compliant in the Glanza. The Toyota Glanza looks identical to the Maruti Suzuki Baleno except for the logos and the front grille.

Feature-wise, the base G variant of the Toyota Glanza is offered with features like automatic climate control, height adjustable driver seat, 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, navigation, voice commands, dual airbags, ABS+EBD, rear parking sensors, dual-tone precision cut alloy wheels, steering-mounted audio controls, keyless entry, start-stop button. The higher V trim of the Toyota Glanza gets the additional features like the UV-cut glass, LED treatment for the rear tail lamps, leather-wrapped steering, automatic headlamps with follow-me-home function and a reverse camera.

The Toyota Glanza will come with the best-in-segment three-year or 1,00,000 km as standard warranty. In comparison, the Baleno offers two-year/40,000 km warranty. Toyota has started taking official bookings in the Indian market from today and the deliveries are expected to start soon.

The Toyota Glanza will get powered by a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated VVT K12B engine that produces a maximum power of 83 PS and peak torque of 113 Nm. It gets both manual and CVT automatic transmission option. With the manual transmission, it returns a maximum of 21.01 km/l while with the CVT it returns a maximum of 19.56 km/l. There another engine option available with the Glanza is the 1.2-litre DualJet engine that generates a maximum of 90 PS and 113 Nm of peak torque. The DualJet is also available with the mild hybrid system and it returns a maximum of 21.01 km/l.

The all-new Toyota Glanza is the first vehicle that has launched in the premium hatchback segment in India. In the future, Toyota and Suzuki will be sharing a lot more cars and will also develop an all-new C-MUV for the Indian market.
