Toyota Innova Crysta & Fortuner will soon go ‘Hybrid’ in India

The Fortuner and the Innova Crysta are two pillars of strength for Toyota. They have massive fan following and account for most of the sales of the company. It now seems like the company is going to update both the popular models for the 2017 MY.

Here is what the changes will be:

Innova Crysta:

For starters, the Innova Crysta G, which is the base trim will now get rear AC vents as standard, something which was not offered earlier.

The GX which comes in both AT and MT variants will now have a rear arm rest on the 8 seat version (bench at the middle row) with cupholders, driver’s seat height adjust as well as a new MFD which displays each individually open door.

The VX now gets LED fog lamps and the audio system has been updated to that which has navigation.

The top spec ZX variant which is fully loaded now gets LED fog lamps.

The Touring Sport, which is the more sportier version of the Crysta too gets more updates now.

The base VX trim gets new audio system with navigation, a new 6-speed manual transmission as opposed to a 5-speed the previous vehicle had, new idle start/stop system and stability control.

The top spec variant gets LED fog lamps and the idle start stop feature too.

Fortuner

The diesel automatic version now gets the idle start stop function as well as the LED fog lamps while the diesel manual version gets only LED fog lamps. The company has added a new Sportivo trim in the diesel automatic 4×2 variant which will get the Sportivo kit. The petrol Fortuner now gets LED fog lamps.

Earlier in the year, Toyota updated the Camry with more features and also got a new model of the Corolla in the market. The company is trying to make sure their vehicles stay upto date.
