Toyota Innova HyCross G trim: Most affordable HyCross in a walkaround video

With the Innova Hycross, Toyota has created another blockbuster product that is expected to reach new milestones. This new modern MPV has already started arriving at showrooms and being delivered to customers. While the majority of the hype surrounds its petrol-hybrid variants, the petrol-only variants are more affordable by comparison. This video shows the base variant of the very popular Innova HyCross.

In the video, we can see a white-colored Innova Hycross G variant, which happens to be the most affordable one in the MPV’s lineup, with an ex-showroom price of Rs 18.35 lakh. On the outside, the MPV looks decently equipped with auto LED headlamps at the front. However, it misses out on chrome finish for the grille, LED indicators, and fog lamps, as seen in higher-spec variants.

The Innova Hycross G variant also misses out on the machined alloy wheels and instead gets 16-inch steel wheels with wheel caps. At the back, this G variant gets halogen tail lamps in place of LED inserts, as seen in higher variants. It also gets a gloss black finish for the garnish below the rear windscreen, which is finished in chrome in upper variants. Here, the rear windscreen gets a wiper, and a roof spoiler above it comes integrated with an LED stop lamp.

Premium cabin

The interior of the Toyota Innova Hycross G variant looks too basic for a vehicle that costs more than Rs 20 lakhs on the road. The all-black interior of this variant features fabric upholstery for the seats and door pads. While it is equipped with four speakers and controls on the steering wheel for the audio system, it doesn’t get a proper audio system in place. It means that one has to install an aftermarket audio system in the bracket given in the center console.

The other features that this base-spec variant of the Innova Hycross gets are a 4.2-inch TFT MID in the instrument console, manual AC, all four power windows, and rear AC vents. In terms of safety, this variant is decently equipped with dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, vehicle stability control, hill hold assist, and reverse parking sensors.

The Toyota Innova Hycross G variant comes only with the combination of a 2.0-liter four-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol engine and a CVT. This engine produces a maximum power output of 174 PS and a peak torque output of 204 Nm. This engine is also available in a better-equipped GX variant, which gets additional features like an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, driver seat height adjustment, and 16-inch alloy wheels.
