In order to achieve a fresh look, many of the Innova owners are opting for customisations and modifications on the MPV. Here we have one such type 1 Innova which has been neatly modified with a custom made Lexus body kit.
The video has been uploaded by Autorounders on their YouTube channel. In this video, the car comes to the garage for modification work. The owner had already converted the type 1 Innova to type 4 from a different garage but, the work was not done neatly. The paint had started to fade away and similarly, the interior had also started looking old. The car came with several dents and scratches on the body panels too. Once these panels were removed, they started working on fixing the dents. The paint was removed from the portions were the dents were marked and the dent was fixed using a dent puller machine. After fixing the area, the surface was sanded to get an even finish. Once this was done, a thin coat of putty was applied on these panels and excess putty was removed as well. By this time, a set of new bonnet, fenders were installed on the car along with the custom made bumper and grille. The original paint on the car was sanded off and the car was washed once to avoid any dust particles. A coat of primer was then applied on the whole car and then the car was taken to the paint booth.
The car was taken to the paint booth and all the panels were painted in Mojave Silver shade. This is a colour which Mercedes offers with GLE SUV. The shade was looking extremely good on the car and it was giving a premium vibe. The front bumper which is now a custom made unit inspired from Lexus elevates the overall look with its large front grille finished in gloss black. The headlamps are also aftermarket units and it is projector LED units with integrated LED DRLs. The fog lamps are integrated on the bumper and they are LEDs too. Coming to the side profile, there are aftermarket alloy wheels, side skirting. At the rear, the MPV comes with aftermarket LED tail lamps and custom bumper at the rear.
The interiors of this Innova MPV have also been customised completely. The cabin now gets a ice grey and black theme with features like custom made seat covers, blacked out steering wheels, leather pads on doors, ambient lighting, floor mats, aftermarket touchscreen infotainment system and so on. The MPV looks extremely good after all the modifications and customisations.
