Toyota launches Liva and Etios Xclusive limited editions

Offers more features at almost same price on G-variants

Toyota has launched limited edition variants of the Toyota Etios and Toyota Etios Liva. These are being badged as the Toyota Etios Liva Xclusive and Toyota Etios Xclusive. Both these limited editions are based on the G variant of the cars, in both petrol and diesel. These are being launched to mark 100,000 units sales of the Etios and the 2nd anniversary of the Liva. Only 2000 of these will be made and sold until November 2013.

The Toyota Etios Xclusive petrol is priced at Rs. 6,05,900 while the diesel variant is priced at Rs. 7,13,243 ex-showroom Delhi. The Toyota Etios Liva Xclusive hatchback is priced at Rs. 4,95,349 for the petrol variant and the diesel is priced at Rs. 6,05,400. Variant for variant, there is only a Rs. 5,000 price hike compared to the regular G variants of these cars, but you do get quite a few features, which are worth a lot more than this small price difference. The cars are available in white, grey and silver colours. Also read: Toyota Etios Liva vs Maruti Swift comparison

New features on Etios and Liva Xclusive

Bluetooth music system: The Etios and Liva Xclusive get a Bluetooth enabled music system with a remote. Normally, the G variant of the car does not come with a music system. The music system alone is worth at least Rs. 10,000, making this a good deal.

Reverse parking sensors: The Etios and Liva Xclusive will get reverse parking sensor systems, which although basic, are of good value for city use. If you had to install these aftermarket, it would have cost about Rs. 3,000.

Other features of the Etios and Liva Xclusive editions also include two-tone ash brown interiors (as opposed to grey), new seat fabric, a chrome ringed gear shift knob and Xclusive badging.

The regular features of the G-variant continue as well. These variants don’t have a tachometer, have only manually adjustable mirrors, but feature central locking with key, power steering, power windows and manual air-conditioning. Also read: Ford Classic vs Maruti Dzire vs Toyota Etios
