Toyota Fortuner is one of the most popular full size SUV in its segment in India. The Fortuner is quite popular among SUV lovers. Like other Toyota vehicles, Fortuner also became popular for its reliability, ruggedness and comparatively low cost of maintenance. Earlier this year, Toyota launched the facelifted version of Fortuner. Along with that, they also launched a much more premium looking Legender version in the market. Toyota Legender was initially available in 2WD format only. Recently, Toyota launched a 4×4 version of Legender in the market as well and here is a new TVC for the same.
The vide has been uploaded by Toyota India on their YouTube channel. Many buyers who were planning to buy the 4×4 version of Legender were disappointed initially as Toyota was not offering 4×4 as an option with Legender. Many of them went ahead and modified their 4×4 Fortuner to look like Legender.

One can clearly differentiate between a regular Toyota Fortuner and Legender. The Toyota Fortuner gets a sober looking front while Legender gets a much more dominant looking aggressive front fascia. There is split front grille finished in gloss black. The headlamp design looks the same but, internally the design of the lights have changed. It now gets a unique looking LED DRLs with quad LED headlights.
The muscular looking bumper has the LED fog lamps. Most of the chrome elements that are seen on a regular Fortuner has either been removed or blacked out in Legender. The lower part of the bumper gets sequential LED turn indicators. A skid plate is seen at the front of the car. Moving to the side profile, design on Toyota Legender looks similar to the regular Fortuner.
Legender gets dual tone paint job which adds to the rugged yet premium look of the SUV. The SUV comes with company fitted dual tone 18 inch alloy wheels. The tail lamps are LED and it also gets black applique running between the lights. The bumper has L-shaped reflectors and Legender branding is also seen on the tail gate.
Moving in, the Toyota Legender gets black and maroon dual tone interior. The interior looks premium than regular Fortuner. The Legender comes with features like 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system comes connected to 11 speakers with a subwoofer sourced from JBL. Other features like ambient lights, wireless phone charger, rear USB port, kick activated electric tailgate, ventilated seats for front seats and so on.
Toyota Fortuner is available in both petrol and diesel engine options. The Legender version however comes with a diesel engine option only. The petrol version in Fortuner is a 2.7 litre unit that generates 166 Ps and 245 Nm of peak torque. This engine is available with both manual and automatic transmission. The diesel version uses a 2.8 litre turbo diesel engine that generates 204 Ps and 500 Nm of peak torque. It is also available with manual and automatic transmission. Only the diesel version is offered with 4×4 option. The Legender version is offered only with an automatic transmission. Toyota Legender is priced at Rs 42.33 lakh, ex-showroom.
