Brand new Triumph superbikes selling for less than a Maruti WagonR

Triumph Motorcycles, the iconic British brand known for bikes like the Street twin, Street Triple and Tiger among others, is offering huge discounts on its bikes according to a report by GaadiWaadi. This discount scheme is via a Delhi-NCR dealer and applicable on select models of the model year 2016 and 2017. Many of the popular models can be had for much less than the top end variant of the Maruti Suzuki WagonR, which is priced at Rs. 5.69 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). However, to let you know, the 30 motorcycles coming under the discount scheme are either pre-owned or used for demonstration purposes.

Considering that many of the models are getting benefits which cut down the price by more than 50%, this is not a bad deal either. Also, the 2016 model year versions coming under this new scheme have zero kilometres on the clock and are unregistered. Talking about the discounts, the Street Twin is available from Rs. 5 lakh onwards while the bonkers Street Triple S has its prices starting from Rs. 6 lakh. The Street Scrambler is another attractive looking bike with good firepower and can be had from Rs. 5.75 lakh onwards. Moreover, the Bonneville range comprising of Bobber, T100 and T120 is quoted from Rs. 6.40 lakh, Rs. 5.75 lakh and Rs. 6.50 lakh onwards respectively in India (all prices, ex-showroom).

Also, the Triumph Tiger 800 can be had with a discount of Rs. 5.50 lakh on its price. For the uninitiated, a new Bonneville T120 comes for Rs. 9.78 lakh, the T100 at Rs. 8.70 lakh while the hot looking Bobber is priced at Rs. 10.08 lakh. The least expensive Street Twin costs Rs. 9.46 lakh and Street Scrambler at Rs. 8.55 lakh. Therefore, despite the bikes being pre-owned/demo models and have older manufacture year, the deal itself is quite good. The discounts offers available on the Triumph bikes apply to all the colour variants. The discount breakdown goes like this -cash discount of up to 55 per cent on select models along with a zero per cent rate of interest and 100 per cent finance on select new bikes.

Another point to note here is that the offers are available as long as the stocks last. Also, the discount scheme is applicable only until June 30 while the applicable taxes will be separate. An important part to know here is that buying these bike will mean you’ll have to shell a lot more at service stations and on other aftersales expenses than your regular bikes. However, if you are passionate about higher performance bikes and are smitten by these bikes from Triumph, this might be just the time for you to make the move. Since the Daytona is no longer available, I would lay my money down for the Street Triple S.
