While the BMW has the G 310 R which is based on the TVS Apache RR 310, they also have the G 310 GS which is an adventure motorcycle. TVS currently does not have an adventure motorcycle in their stable. Just like the BMW G 310 GS, we can assume that an adventure variant of the Apache RR 310 could come in the future. Here we have a render what the upcoming adventure motorcycle from the stable of TVS could look like.
It will feature the same engine that we have seen on the Apache RR 310 and the BMW G 310 twins. It is a 310cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine which is capable of producing 34 PS of peak power and 27 Nm of peak torque. It comes mated to a 6-speed transmission, which features a race-tuned slipper clutch. It will be offered with a Dual-channel ABS. However, we think that TVS will offer a way to turn it off because you might need to lock-up the rear wheel while off-roading.

Suspension setup will include long-travel suspension with upside-down front forks with a golden finish in front and a rear monoshock. TVS also might offer some kind of adjustment for the suspension.
The rendered motorcycle has a short beak and a huge fuel tank with wide-set handlebars. The foot-pegs are also at a centre-set position which will provide a more up-right riding triangle for the rider. The up-set exhaust will also help in increasing the ground clearance, which is important while off-roading. The rear has minimal body panels with a luggage mount. This is important as people might want to take it for long tours and carry a lot of equipment with them.
Speaking of the equipment level, it might get the same 5-inch TFT screen that we have seen on the RR 310, Smart Xonnect Bluetooth connectivity, riding modes for off-roading, adjustable windscreen, LED headlamp, LED taillamp and knobby or dual-purpose tyres.
The new adventure motorcycle from TVS will be competing against the KTM Duke 250 which is considered more of an “adventure tourer” due to the way its engine has been tuned and the equipment that it offers. Once launched it is expected to be priced around Rs. 2.6 lakhs ex-showroom which is a premium of Rs. 20,000 over the Apache RR 310.
TVS and BMW Motorrad came into partnership and the first motorcycle to be launched under the partnership was the TVS Apache RR 310 which was appreciated by the people but lacked refinement. TVS addressed this by launching the BS6 variant of the RR 310. This version of the motorcycle was much improved and really upped the game for TVS. Cosmetically, the RR 310 BS6 got a detachable windscreen and a new colour scheme known as the “Titanium Black”. TVS also gave Apache RR 310 a new 5-inch TFT display, Bluetooth smartphone application, 4 riding modes and ride-by-wire throttle. The engine is much smoother now and there is a set of new Michelin Road 5 tyres which replaces the Pilot Street tyres.
