TVS Apache RR 310S sportsbike in red starts arriving at dealers; Deliveries starting this month

TVS Motors dealers around India have started receiving the red coloured Apache RR 310S. Deliveries of the bike featuring this racy colour will start from this month. So far, TVS dealers were only delivering the matte black coloured Apache RR 310S. TVS expects to sell at least 10,000 Apache RR 310S this year. Dealers have been receiving stocks of this recently launched flagship bike in a staggered manner. Bookings have been open since December though, while the first deliveries started just days before the new year.

TVS Motors is unlikely to introduce any new colour in the Apache RR 310S in the next six months. So, for Apache 310 buyers – the only two colour options remains matte black and glossy red. However, by the end of this year, TVS Motors will also introduce a race-spec version of the Apache RR 310S for track use.

This bike will not be sold through showrooms and will be used only for the Apache one-make racing championship that TVS Motors will conduct not just in India but also in its other markets across multiple continents. The race-spec bike will be lighter and more powerful.

The production version of the Apache RR 310S is the most advanced motorcycle TVS has ever produced. The bike shares technology with the BMW R 310S naked sportsbike. The Apache RR 310S features a 310cc, reverse inclined four stroke engine. This engine gets liquid cooling and fuel injection, and outputs 34 Bhp-28 Nm.

It gets a 6 speed manual gearbox as standard but TVS doesn’t offer a slipper clutch. The bike uses petal disc brakes on both wheels and ABS is standard. However, ABS is not switchable – which means it can’t be turned off. The Apache RR 310S is priced at Rs. 2.05 lakhs, ex-showroom Delhi. However, there are reports of dealers overcharging for priority delivery.
