TVS Motor Company has launched the 2018 version of the popular premium-commuter bike, the Victor. The bike gets a new matte paint series priced at Rs. 55,890, ex-showroom, Delhi. The matte colour is available in two shades – blue and silver and gets additional features too.
The extras in the bike are chrome accents on the visor and a dual tone beige seat. There is front disc brake available with the new colours too. As per TVS, the new matte series has been launched on the aspirational value of the premium edition that was launched in September last year.
The Victor name was re-introduced in the Indian market in 2016. This facelift will keep the bike fresh in the market. The matte shade is quite rare in the segment and makes the bike quite premium. The bold body graphics on the tank, headlamp cowl and the rear give it a premium appearance. TVS also offers a dual tone engine colour with the crankcase matching the seat colour. Apart from that, the wheels are painted black while the rear spring shock absorbers get the red paint giving it a contrasting colour.
No changes have been done to the powertrain. The Victor draws power from a 109 cc single-cylinder, 3-valve, an oil-cooled engine that produces a maximum power of 9 Bhp at 7,500 rpm and peak torque of 9.4 Nm at 6,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 4-speed transmission. TVS claims that the Victor returns a fuel efficiency of 72 km/l, which is best in the segment.
The Victor competes with the likes of Hero Passion Pro, Honda Dream Neo and will also target the upcoming Bajaj Discover 110. TVS Victor is one the most popular bikes in the segment and the new colour launch will further attract more customers towards it. TVS is also planning to launch facelift Apache series this year.
