TVS and the movie franchisee Transformer have joined hands in India to promote the latest movie – Bumblebee. TVS NTorq, which is one of the coolest looking scooters in the segment has been completely modified into a Transformer to attract the attention of the crowd. TVS has placed many such humanoid figures made completely out of the part of the NTorq in the malls of major Indian cities.
The stock matte yellow colour of the TVS NTorq matches quite well with the Bumblebee’s body colour, which is also yellow. However, the Bumblebee, which is a robot in the movie is based on the Chevrolet Camaro. The TVS NTorq does not feature in the movie but it is the official partner of the futuristic movie in India.
After looking carefully at the Bumblebee, the parts of the TVS NTorq can be seen easily. The headlamps form the eyes while the body panels form the limbs and the torso of the robot. It also gets engine parts and the full LCD console on the body. The disc brakes form a weapon on the robot’s right hand while there is a shock absorber in its right hand.
TVS NTorq is the most advanced scooter in the affordable market at the moment with its advanced console system. The 125cc scooter gets an advanced console that allows phones to connect via Bluetooth. The console shows details like the caller’s name and also shows step-by-step navigation, which is a boon for the two-wheeler riders. The console also gets a lap timer, 0-60 km/h time, top-speed, engine temperature, average speed, service reminder and many more such readings. It feels like a maxi-scooter and gets a USB charger in the under seat storage area. TVS also offers a pass switch on the scooter that allows easy riding at night.
It is also quite popular in the market and is one of the best-sellers in the segment. The TVS NTorq 125 is powered by a four-stroke 124.79cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that develops a maximum power of 9.25 Bhp and a peak torque of 10.5 Nm. It gets a CVT automatic transmission. The TVS NTorq also looks quite sporty the dual-tone paint scheme on the scooter making it a head-turner on the roads. TVS offers a total of 7 colours with the NTorq and four of them are matte shades while the others metallic colours.
While the NTorq does not feature in the movie, it sure looks like a proper Transformer in the modification job done by TVS. The scooter takes on the scooters like Honda Grazia and Suzuki Access 125 in the market.
