Type-1 Toyota Fortuner SUV modified to look like current generation SUV [Video]

Toyota Fortuner is one of the most popular SUV in the market. It has been in the market for a very long time and Toyota has come up with updates for the SUV to keep it fresh. Toyota Fortuner is a very capable SUV and we have seen several videos of the same online. Toyota Fortuner is known for being reliable like many other Toyota products and we have seen several first generation Fortuners running without any major problems on the road. Many people have also modified first generation Fortuners and here we have a video where a type 1 Toyota Fortuner has been neatly modified to look like a current generation Fortuner.

The video has been uploaded by Autorounders on their YouTube channel. The video starts with vlogger showing the condition of the car when it had arrived at the workshop. The owner of this SUV had modified the SUV slightly and it had chrome and silver coloured wrap all over it. The interiors and other elements on this SUV remained stock.

As part of the conversion, many of the panels on this Toyota Fortuner had to be replaced with new units. The bonnet, side fenders, headlamps, front grille, bumper and fog lamps were removed and replaced with other units. Minor changes were made to install the new fender and fit in the bonnet properly. The headlamps were also replaced with new units. It got aftermarket LED projector headlamps with LED DRLs. The design in similar to the headlamp in the current generation Fortuner.

The Front grille on this SUV was also replaced and so was the bumper. The bumper looks a lot more muscular and it also gets blacked out fog lamp covers. LED fog lamps are installed on the bumper. Coming to the side profile, the old alloy wheels on the Fortuner have been replaced with design similar to the pre-facelift model. No other changes have been made to the side profile of the car. The rear profile on this SUV remains the same as Type 1 with new aftermarket LED tail lamps and a gloss black illuminated applique on the tail gate.

The car looks like a current generation Fortuner from the front but, remains type 1 from rest of the sides. Interiors on this SUV had also started showing its age so the owner got it customised as well. The dashboard on this SUV was now finished in dual tone. The car gets white coloured custom fit leather upholstery which gives it a premium look. The door pads also get leather padding and the steering is also wrapped in leather. Overall, the cabin now looks a lot more premium than before.

Other customisation on the inside include an aftermarket touchscreen infotainment system, ambient lights and new roof liner. The roof lines is special as it gets Rolls-Royce like starlight roof in it. Other than that, the whole car has been repainted in premium quality white colour. Overall, the work done on this SUV looks good and definitely looks premium on the inside.
