Toyota launched the facelifted version of Fortuner in the market last year. Along with the facelift, the manufacturer also introduced the much more premium and aggressive looking Legender version in the market. It was initially available in 2WD format only. We have seen several customisation videos where a regular Fortuner is heavily customised to look like a Legender. Most of the modifications that we have seen related Legender conversion are done on White SUV. Here we have an all-black type 3 Toyota Fortuner that has been neatly customised to look like a current version Toyota Fortuner Legender SUV.
The video has been uploaded by Autorounders on their YouTube channel. The video starts by showing how the car looked when it arrived at the workshop. The all-black Fortuner was in good condition but, there were small dents and scratches on it. The owner then decided to get the whole car repainted along with the Legender conversion. He wanted to keep the vehicle with him for a longer period of time and that is one of the reason why he opted for a complete repaint. The work on this Toyota Fortuner then starts. The experienced professionals at Autorounders marked all the panels where they found dents and deep scratches.

They start by removing the panels that were being replaced as part of the conversion. The dents and scratches were then corrected. The portion where the dents corrected were then finished with a thin layer of putty. This was done to achieve an even finish. The excess putty on the panels was later sanded away. After the denting work was done, a coat of primer was applied on to the car and then it was taken to the paint booth. The whole car was painted in Sapphire Black shade which is a premium colour which is normally available in BMW cars.
Coming to the conversion part, the front grille, headlamps, front bumper and rear bumper were all replaced. The original headlamps have been replaced with Legender type aftermarket LED headlamps. The bumper has been replaced and it looks a lot more muscular than the usual one. The car now comes with an aggressive looking front grille with Toyota logo in the centre. Coming to the side profile, the original dual tone alloy wheels of the pre-facelift Toyota Fortuner were completely finished in black. The tail lamps on this Fortuner was also replaced with a Legender unit.
The fit and finish of the panels and the quality of paint job done to this SUV looks extremely good. There are no visible panel gaps as most of the panels installed on this Fortuner were actually made for Fortuner. Vlogger does not mention whether the bumper used on this Fortuner is an original part form Toyota or an aftermarket unit. The final product looks quite neat and it looks like a brand new Toyota Fortuner Legender SUV that has just rolled out from the production line. The Black paint job on the SUV has actually elevated the overall look of the car.
