Likely to be based on the upcoming MQB A0 platform, the upcoming 2017 VW Polo has been rendered. The rendition brings in design cues from the larger Passat and the Tiguan, and certainly looks sharper than the current car.
To be powered by a range of TSI (turbocharged petrol) and TDI (diesel) engines globally, the next generation Polo might not get the current 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol unit. With a lighter (yet more rigid) platform, the next generation Polo is expected to continue with commendable handling, too.
As reported earlier there will also be a compact SUV based on the next generation Polo. The said SUV was showcased at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show in concept form as VW T-Cross Breeze.
