Upcoming 2020 Hyundai i20 in Magna trim: Spied before launch

Hyundai is ready to launch the all-new i20 and the manufacturer has already started dispatching the vehicles to various dealerships across India. While we have already seen pictures of the top-end variant of the all-new i20 at the dealerships, here are the first pictures of the Magna variant that has just reached the dealerships. The pictures sent to us on WhatsApp show the all-new hatchback from all around and reveal a lot of details on the car.

Even though this is not the top-end version of the all-new i20, it does look premium. At the front, the all-black glossy finish grille looks very sporty and it gets a different grille pattern compared to the top-end version of the model. Even the headlamps of the Magna variant look like an extension to the grille and they do look very aggressive. However, they do not get projector LED lamps like the top-end Asta version. Instead, they offer regular halogen lamps. It also offers regular halogen fog lamps and a contrasting bumper splitter.

On the side, there is no use of chrome either. The window line is of black colour and the door handles are of body colour. There is no use of chrome on it. Even the wheels get some good looking covers but there are no alloy wheels. The design of the wheel caps are quite interesting though and they look similar to the alloy wheels available with the top-end variants. There are no sill guards on the side.

At the rear, the tail lamps are connected to each other with a reflector. The top-end version gets a chrome stripe instead. The reflector does look sporty and adds to the overall design of the i20.

The cabin of all-new i20 Magna will come with a floating-type infotainment screen, which is much smaller than the 10.25-inch screen available with the top-end version of the premium hatchback. Also, the instrument cluster gets two regular analogue dials with a monochrome MID.

However, it is likely to get powered by a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine and a 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine.
