Festive season is probably one of the most awaited time of the year by vehicle manufacturers in India. Many manufacturers have started launching products in the market keeping the festive season in mind. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, the automobile sector has been going through ups and downs and during this festive season, they plan to bring in more sales. As mentioned above, manufacturers have been working on new and updated products for the market. Here we have a list of cars and SUVs that will be launching in the market in September 2021.

Force Gurkha

Force Motors had showcased the BS6 version of their hardcore off-road SUV Gurkha last year at the Auto Expo. Due to various reasons the launch of the SUV was postponed. Force has recently released a teaser image of the Gurkha hinting that the SUV would be launched in the market soon. It is expected to be powered by a 2.6 litre turbo diesel engine and will competes with Mahindra Thar in the segment. The Force Gurkha is expected to be launched in the market sometime in September 2021.

Volkswagen Taigun

Taigun is Volkswagen’s entry into the highly competitive mid size SUV segment. Production and bookings for Taigun has already started. Taigun will be offered with two petrol engine options. There will be a 1.0 litre turbo petrol engine with manual and automatic transmission option and a 1.5 litre turbo petrol engine with manual and a 7-speed DSG gearbox option. Volkswagen has already announced that they will be launching the Taigun in Indian market on 23 September 2021.

Tata Punch

Tata unveiled their smallest SUV Punch based on the HBX concept recently. The SUV will compete with the likes of Maruti S-Presso and upcoming Hyundai Casper. Punch will be powered by a petrol engine only. It will use a 1.2 litre petrol engine which is also used in cars like Altroz hatchback. As Tata has already unveiled how the production version of the Punch would look like, it is expected that the manufacturer will be launching the car in market in September 2021.

Ford EcoSport facelift

Ford has been working on a facelift for their sub-4 meter compact SUV and the same has bee spotted several times on road as part of testing. Ford will be making some cosmetic changes to the existing model to keep it fresh in the highly competitive segment. The facelifted version of EcoSport will have a revised grille and bumper with a ‘7’ like dual function LED DRLs on the bumper. It’ll be offered with the same petrol and diesel engine options and it expected to be launched in the market in September 2021.
