Hyundai India, the second-largest manufacturer in India is currently working on a slew of new cars that will be launched in the Indian market. Earlier this year, the South Korean brand launched the all-new Hyundai Venue and the Grand i10 NIOS in the Indian market. Next year, the brand will also launch the sedan-based on the Grand i10 NIOS, which will be known as Hyundai Aura. Apart from these vehicles, Hyundai will launch other vehicles and some of them will be showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo that is scheduled to happen in February next year.
According to Zigwheels, Hyundai India will showcase the all-new Hyundai Creta, which is a much-awaited vehicle in the Indian market. The all-new mid-size SUV will take on the likes of Kia Seltos, which is currently the best-selling vehicle in the segment. Hyundai Creta has remained the best-selling vehicle for a long time in the Indian market but after the arrival of the all-new Seltos, the popularity of the Creta has come down. Next year, the all-new Creta will be launched on a new platform that is expected to bring the vehicle in the top of the sales charts again.
Hyundai has already launched the ix25 in the Chinese market, which will heavily inspire the Indian version of the car. The all-new Hyundai Creta will use the same platform that underpins the Kia Seltos and it will also get powered by a similar set of engines in the Indian market. The all-new Creta is expected to be launched by mid-2020 in the Indian market.
The other car that will be showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo is the very popular Hyundai Verna. It will not be an all-new car but it will be a facelifted version that will get a slightly different design from the current version of the Verna. The new Verna will get a new cabin too and is likely to get a new list of features to keep up in the segment. The Verna is also expected to get connected technology, just like the Hyundai Venue. Currently, the Venue is the only Hyundai car to get an Internet-connected infotainment system. The Verna will take on the upcoming all-new Honda City and the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz. It will get new BS6 compliant engines too.
The Jeep Compass-rival, Hyundai Tuscon will be showcased at the Auto Expo too. It will be launched by the end of 2020 in the Indian market. It is also a facelifted version of the model and it will get a long list of changes. The car will get new headlamps, tail lamps, and new bumpers that will give a new identity to the vehicle. The Tucson may also get the 48-volt hybrid system for the Indian market.
