Upcoming Kia Seltos Facelift’s top-end GT line trim: What it’ll look like

The South Korean car manufacturer Kia is all set to launch the facelifted version of its popular SUV, the Seltos, in the market. The Seltos was Kia’s first product in the Indian market and was launched in 2019. Internationally, a facelift for the Seltos has already been launched, but it was not offered in India. Lately, test mules of the Seltos facelift have been spotted, and recently an undisguised test car was seen testing near Kia’s Anantpur plant. The brand has also confirmed that the Seltos facelift will be officially unveiled on July 4. Based on the spy pics available on the internet, we have a video that shows what the top-end GT Line version of the upcoming Seltos facelift would look like.

The video has been uploaded by Bagrawala Designs on their YouTube channel. The rendered video takes inspiration from all the spy pictures available online. The video clearly shows what the top-end GT Line variant of the Seltos would look like with the facelift. The front fascia has been redesigned, and the major attraction is the grille. The Tiger Nose grille has grown in size, and it now has two extensions from the headlamp cluster, which are actually LED DRLs that have been repositioned. The headlight design has also been updated. It is still an all-LED unit; however, the design looks slightly more premium.

The Kia logo is retained on the bonnet. Moving down, the bumper has also been revised, giving it a slightly more muscular stance than the current version. The rendered video also shows the side profile of the Seltos facelift. The alloy wheel design in this render version is similar to the current one, but we expect the Seltos facelift to have an alloy wheel design similar to the one seen on the X-Line edition. The render also shows a panoramic sunroof in the upcoming Seltos. At the rear, the tail lamp design has been completely changed. The tail lamp now looks similar to the unit seen on the Carens MPV from Kia.

Just like the front, the rear bumper on this SUV has also been redesigned. It should be noted that the rear design of the car is different from the international version that was launched last year. The render video does not show the interior of the upcoming Seltos facelift. However, we have a fair idea about it. The SUV is likely to come with premium features like a twin digital screen setup on the dashboard. One of them would be the instrument cluster, while the other would be the touchscreen infotainment unit. It will feature a Bose audio system, panoramic sunroof, leatherette upholstery, front seat ventilation, automatic climate control, and more. It will also have safety features like six airbags, vehicle stability management, and hill assist.

Kia might also introduce ADAS features in the Seltos as it is becoming very common in cars of this segment. Kia is expected to offer the same engine options with the Seltos facelift. There will be a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol with a manual and IVT gearbox. The 1.5-liter diesel engine comes with a manual, iMT, and 6-speed automatic transmission. The 1.4-liter turbocharged petrol engine, which is the most powerful option, gets a 7-speed DCT and 6-speed manual transmission.
