Ahead of its July 5th launch, details of the Maruti Suzuki Invicto MPV are being gradually revealed through leaked spy shots. A recent leaked image showcases the interior, hinting at the features offered. The interior layout appears identical to its base vehicle, the Toyota Innova Hycross.
The pictures of Invicto by MotorBeam shows an all-black interior with beige accents, setting it apart from the dual-tone black and beige upholstery of the Innova Hycross. The leaked image also reveals premium features such as a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, dual-zone automatic climate control, panoramic sunroof, wireless charger, ventilated front seats, and powered driver’s seat.
The Invicto is expected to be available in a single top-spec Alpha Plus variant, excluding the full suite of ADAS features found in the Innova Hycross ZX(O) variant to maintain affordability. While the Innova Hycross offers two powertrain options, the Invicto will exclusively feature the more fuel-efficient and technologically advanced 2.0-litre petrol-hybrid engine with e-CVT. This makes the Invicto the first-ever Maruti Suzuki offering without a manual transmission, solely equipped with an automatic gearbox.

Currently, the Innova Hycross ZX is priced at Rs 29.35 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The Invicto’s Alpha Plus variant is expected to be based on this model but priced higher due to its Toyota lineage. Considering these factors, the Maruti Suzuki Invicto Alpha Plus is projected to have a price range of Rs 29.75-30.00 lakh.
Maruti Suzuki Invicto will not get Hybrid powertrain
The Maruti Suzuki Invicto is set to make a bold entrance with its robust 2.0-liter strong hybrid powertrain, combining a 2.0-liter Atkinson cycle petrol engine with an e-CVT gearbox. This configuration generates an impressive maximum power output of 184 bhp. Notably, the Invicto will be the first Maruti Suzuki vehicle to offer exclusively an automatic transmission, promising a seamless driving experience.
As Maruti Suzuki’s flagship model, the Invicto will be exclusively available through NEXA outlets, positioned above the Grand Vitara. Continuing the strong hybrid revolution started by its predecessor, it aims to deliver exceptional performance and efficiency. While the specific variant lineup is yet to be revealed, expectations point to the Alpha Plus variant, sharing similar equipment levels with the Innova Hycross ZX(O) variant.
The Invicto also marks a significant milestone as the first Maruti Suzuki product derived from a Toyota vehicle. Previously, Toyota had introduced products based on Maruti Suzuki offerings, like the Glanza, Urban Cruiser, and Urban Cruiser Hyryder. With its Toyota lineage, the Invicto is expected to command a premium price compared to the Innova Hycross. The top-spec Alpha Plus variant is projected to fall in the price range of Rs 30.5-31.5 lakh. For reference, the current price of the Innova Hycross ZX(O) is Rs 29.99 lakh.
