Upcoming Maruti Suzuki Ertiga revealed completely undisguised

Maruti Suzuki will soon launch the all-new Ertiga in the Indian market. The car has already been launched in the Indonesian market and has been spotted testing under heavy camouflage on the Indian roads. The all-new Ertiga has been spotted parked at the Maruti stockyard fully uncovered.

It was being speculated that Maruti will only launch the all-new Ertiga with the 1.5-litre petrol engine and would introduce the all-new 1.5-litre diesel engine in the MUV at a later stage. However, with the pictures of the vehicle surfacing online shows the DDiS badge, which Maruti uses for the diesel engines. It is possible that Maruti will continue to use the 1.3-litre Multijet diesel engine that powers the current generation of the car in the all-new Ertiga too. The recently-launched Maruti Ciaz also received the same 1.3-litre diesel engine.

The all-new Ertiga is based on the new HEARTECT platform that also underpins the likes of all-new Swift and Dzire in the Indian market. The new Ertiga has also become larger in size but remains smaller than the Toyota Innova Crysta. It is now 99mm longer, 40mm wider and 5mm higher than the current generation that is on sale in India. The undisguised picture also reveals that the all-new Ertiga that will be launched in India would look similar to the model launched in Indonesia earlier this year.

The all-new Ertiga gets redesigned front-end with a new grille, new bumpers and headlamps. The overall shape has also changed and the tail lamps look inspired by the lamps on Volvo SUVs. We will also get to see the all-new interiors that will get a new infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, new steering wheel and a new instrument cluster. The all-new Ertiga would feel much more premium than the current version.

Like the Ciaz, Maruti would use the SHVS hybrid system in the new Ertiga too. The SHVS mild hybrid system would be offered with both petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol engine would be updated to the all-new 1.5-litre K15B, four-cylinder unit that churns out a maximum of 103 Bhp and 138 Nm. We may also see automatic AMT variant of the Ertiga with the update.
