The new MG Comet EV was spotted in a bright green shade, which looks quite different. MG wants to target young-age buyers with the Comet and that is why the car will come with many funky and modern features. The Comet EV will be the smallest electric car in the Indian market and is expected to get the “most affordable” price tag as well. Currently, the Tatat Tiago EV is the most affordable electric car in the Indian market.
The Comet EV will be a two-door, four-door version. In the international markets, a smaller variant of the same model is also on sale. However, the Indian market is only likely to get the only version. Even the white variant of the MG Comet EV was spotted on the road.

Powering the new MG Comet EV is an electric motor that generates a maximum power of 41 PS of maximum power. The battery pack has a capacity of 17.3 kWh. However, we can expect a bigger capacity battery of 26.7 kWh battery pack as well. The Comet EV will offer a range of 200 – 300 km depending on the battery variant. MG will officially announce the specifications of the car today.
Smallest car on sale in India
The upcoming MG Comet is based on Wuling’s Air EV, which is already available in Indonesia. However, the Comet will be the India-specific model of this car that MG is unveiling. The Comet will be a three-door, four-seater car and will measure only 2.9 meters in length.
This will make it the smallest four-wheeled vehicle available in India. Despite its size, the Comet will have an electric skateboard architecture, a long 2,010mm wheelbase, and a boxy shape that will make it space-efficient. The exterior design will feature a two-tone finish for the front fascia, a tall and stubby nose, and a wraparound strip under the windscreen with LED lighting elements that extend to the wing mirrors.
