Taarzan: The Wonder Car was a Bollywood movie that revolved around a custom-built sports car possessed by the spirit of the father of the lead character. After the movie’s release, people noticed the car, as we had not seen anything like it anywhere else. Many car enthusiasts even dreamt of owning it at one point. The car was built by the then DC Designs, but due to several reasons, including the steep pricing, the car was neglected after the movie’s release and left to rot on the roadside. However, a workshop decided to pick up the car recently and restore it. They successfully completed this project, and if you are still interested in the Taarzan car, it is now up for sale.

As mentioned above, this car was initially built by DC Designs for the movie. After being left to rot for years, a Mumbai-based workshop decided to restore the much-loved Taarzan car. The workshop, International Auto & Engineering Works, worked on this project and helped bring the car back to its former glory.
The last video we saw of the car was when the restoration work was complete. The car is neatly restored, and it is now up for sale. The quality of work on this project looks impressive, and we really appreciate the efforts put in by the workshop for this project, as this car is one of a kind in the world.
The Taarzan car is actually based on a Toyota MR2 sports car, a popular rear-engine sports car from the 1980s. The reason why DC didn’t make multiple units of this car was that he had plans to sell it at an auction.
You might wonder who would want a car like this. It was not just for car enthusiasts; there are people who love to collect movie props, as they are exclusive.
However, things didn’t go as per DC’s plan. Dilip got ambitious and put the car up for auction with a price tag of Rs 2 crore. It was definitely an exclusive vehicle, but it was never worth Rs 2 crore. DC realized his mistake and even lowered the price to Rs 35 lakh, but it was too late by then, and people had lost interest.
The car has been completely restored to its original condition. The post doesn’t mention much about the kilometer reading on this extremely rare car. The only thing we know is that the car is up for sale, and it is available for the price of a small family hatchback.
The asking price for this Taarzan car is Rs 8.90 lakh. The post mentions that this is the fixed price, but we feel the seller might lower the price if you negotiate properly.
The asking price for this custom-built sports car is actually cheaper than the on-road price of a top-model Maruti WagonR in many major Indian cities. If you are interested in this custom-built sports car, get in touch with the seller on the social media platform. Also, ensure that you get the vehicle inspected by an experienced mechanic or workshop to avoid any future problems.
