An Instagram post shared by the used car dealer “exotic.cars.in” showcases a 2011 Audi R8 available for sale. The second owner of this Audi R8 has set the selling price at Rs 52 lakh, approximately equal to the cost of a brand-new Toyota Fortuner from the showroom. This black Audi R8 is the coupe version and belongs to the V8 variant, which was more popular and affordable compared to the R8 V10 variant.

In the Instagram ad by the used car dealer specifies that this 2011 Audi R8 V8 coupe for sale is registered in Haryana and has covered around 32,500 km on the odometer. Although it is the V8 version, this particular unit for sale boasts alloy wheels from the more premium V10 variant of the R8. Additionally, it features an F1 titanium full-system exhaust, setting it apart from the stock configuration.
The highlighted Audi R8 belongs to the first-generation version of the sports car, debuting in 2006. This specific model is the inaugural version of the R8, equipped with a 4.2-litre naturally-aspirated V8 petrol engine at the rear. Teamed with a 6-speed automated manual transmission, this engine delivers 420 PS of maximum power and 430 Nm of maximum torque in the first-gen Audi R8.
Standard features of this Audi R8 include an all-wheel-drive system, a top speed of 301 kmph, and a 0-100 kmph sprint time of 4.3 seconds. The car for sale retains its stock interior, featuring red leather upholstery, a Bang & Olufsen audio system, reverse camera, parking sensors, and a touchscreen infotainment system. The ad also notes that the car has been treated with nano-coated paint protection.
While acquiring a used Audi R8 at the price of a new Toyota Fortuner might seem like a lucrative deal, potential buyers should be aware that maintenance and reliability may not be as affordable and straightforward as with the Toyota Fortuner. Given that this R8 for sale is over a decade old, spare parts availability might pose challenges, and replacing or repairing certain components could incur substantial costs.
