The Toyota Innova has set up some high standards in comfort and reliability when it comes to MPVs. While the new Innova Crysta has taken the baton of the old first generation Innova as a bigger and more premium vehicle, the first generation Innova still commands a healthy demand in the used car market for its sheer attributes. Many people are either refurbishing or customizing the first generation Innova and using them to their fullest. We have stumbled upon one such example, which has landed in the used car market and looks as desirable as a new Innova Crysta.
In an Instagram post uploaded by a Delhi-based used car dealer ‘Delhicarz’, we can see a 2014 iteration of the previous generation Toyota Innova that has been customized by the pioneer automobile designing and modification house, DC Design. The Champagne Silver coloured Toyota Innova is the G manual trim level but has been heavily customized with a host of modern and premium comfort and convenience features. These changes make it much more appealing even than the top-spec Innova Crysta to some extent.
On the outside, the Toyota Innova gets subtle cosmetic and feature upgrades in the form of a new chrome-mesh grille, bi-beam LED projector headlamps with dual-functioning daytime running LEDs, upsized 17-inch machined alloy wheels and new LED tail lamps. However, on the inside of the Innova, the changes are much more comprehensive, with a completely transformed cabin with lounge-like seating for the rear passengers. The three-row seating arrangement of the Innova has been discarded for two lounge-like seats for the rear passengers. The rear passenger cabin is disconnected from the front seats with a partition.

Lounge-like cabin
The dashboard looks more or less unchanged, with the Innova retaining its dual-tone grey and beige upholstery and all the basic features like power windows and a 1-DIN music system. However, the inside rearview mirror has been replaced with a full-time back camera, as the partition introduced in the middle leaves the mirror useless. A majority of the changes have been executed for the rear passengers, with the customized ultra-luxury interior package. For the two passengers at the back, there are full reclining tan-coloured leather seats, which also get foldable leg rests. The partition in front of the seats get piano black and dark wood panelling and comes with a centrally mounted LG 32-inch flat-screen full HD LED TV.
To give a theatre-like feel to the cabin, the lounge-like seats and the large TV are complemented with a Sony music system and JBL home theatre speakers, which enhance the overall aural experience in the car. For an added sense of practicality, the car also comes with lots of storage spaces and two 12V power outlets for charging your gadgets. The customized Innova also is equipped with a centralized AC system, luxurious carpet, two tray tables and custom ambient lighting. To maintain contact with the driver and co-driver at the front despite having a partition in the middle, the Innova also has an intercom button.
In the post, the used car dealer claims that this customized Toyota Innova has zero faults and is an extremely well-maintained car. However, the used car dealer hasn’t mentioned the odometer reading and other details in the post. The price quoted for this Innova is Rs 9.95 lakh, but at the end of the post, it is mentioned that the price is slightly negotiable at the time of confirmation of the deal.
