India’s cheapest ‘Maybach’ is selling cheaper than a Fortuner: Here’s why

Luxury car brands like Mercedes-Benz, Audi and BMW are very popular in India and these spotting cars from these luxury cars is not hard. Just like any other regular car brand, there are now used car dealers who specifically deal in luxury cars. Many people who are planning to buy a luxury car are now considering a used one before directly buying a brand new one. The main reason behind this trend is of course the price. In the last 5 years time, market for used luxury cars have gone up in India mainly because, they are available for sale at less than half of its original price. Here we have a Mercedes-Benz S350 luxury sedan that has been modified like a Maybach. It is available for sale.

The video has been uploaded by Luxury Cars World Goldy Bhaiya on their YouTube channel. The seller mentions it in the beginning of the video that the car seen in the video is actually a S-Class S350 sedan that has been modified to look like S560 Maybach. The stock colour of this Mercedes-Benz S-Class is White. As part of the modification, the owner has got the upper half of the car wrapped in Black PPF. This dual-tone treatment helps in getting the car a Maybach look. Along with that, the Mercedes-Benz logo on the bonnet has been replaced with Maybach monogram.

The front grille on this S-Class has been replaced with an aftermarket Maybach grille. The headlamps on this sedan remain the same as stock. Coming to the side profile, the sedan gets 20 inch Maybac like aftermarket alloy wheels. The C-Pillar on this sedan also has the Maybach logo pasted on it. At the rear, the S350 branding has been replaced with S560 and the instead of Mercedes-Benz, there is a Maybach written on the tail gate. The car looks well maintained on the outside.

The modifications on this S-Class is limited to the exterior only. The interior on this sedan remains stock. The car comes with Mercedes-Benz’s stock touchscreen infotainment system and fully digital instrument cluster. The car offers a beige colour interiors and all four seats on this sedan come with electric adjustments and memory function. All four seats come with heated and ventilation function. The key fob of this sedan has been customised to look like a Maybach unit. The car comes with multi-zone climate control, rear seat entertainment screens, leather wrapped seats, electric sunroof, multi-function steering wheel cruise control and so on.

The car looks well maintained in the video. There are no major dents or scratches visible on the car and there are no signs of rough usage on the interior as well. Coming to the details, this is a 2015 model sedan. The car is registered in Haryana and is with its first owner. The car has done around 70,000 km and comes with proper service records. The asking price for this S-class modified to look like Maybach sedan is Rs 42 lakh. It is always a good idea to get the vehicle inspected at an authorised service center to know if there is any major issue in the vehicle or not.
