Vehicle modification is now illegal in India but, there are still several neatly modified vehicles around. Modification is an art and people who modify vehicles are artists. Here we have a Nissan Jonga SUV that has been neatly restored and modified by WS Design. The Nissan Jonga is the army spec version of Nissan Patrol SUV. The advertisement for this resto-modded Nissan Jonga has been published by Aarit Sandhu on a private Facebook Group. The SUV seen here in the pictures has been modified by WS Design who specialise in restoring old SUVs and building 4×4 or off-road vehicles. Looking at the pictures, it seems like WS Design has done a lot to restore and modify this SUV. Repair work has been done on the outside and several modern features have also been added to SUV now. The features have been added to the SUV to make life of the driver easier with this SUV.
First noticeable change on the outside are the headlamps. The stock round halogen lamps have been replaced with aftermarket LED units with integrated ring type LED DRLs in it. The bumper on this SUV has been redone and it comes with shackles and integrated fog lamps in them. It looks like the bumper is a metal unit. The exterior has been painted in gloss grey finish and Nissan logo is placed on the bonnet of the SUV.

Coming to the side profile, WS design has not made many changes to the overall shape of the SUV. It still looks boxy but, it now comes with aftermarket 5 spoke alloy wheels that are painted black. The wheels are wrapped in Maxxis Bighorn off-road tyres. Another thing you would notice on the car as the fully body roll bar and a metal roof rack. At the rear, the Nissan Jonga gets aftermarket LED tail lamps and the spare wheel is mounted on the tail gate. The rear bumper is also a custom made metal unit.
Moving in, WS Design has made the cabin a better place. The SUV now comes with features like central locking using a remote, power windows with automatic roll up function when the car is locked, steering mounted control, AC, power steering and so on. It gets a aftermarket touchscreen infotainment screen, music system by Infinity by Harman, reverse parking camera.
Interiors on this Nissan Jonga has been redone completely. It now looks a lot more premium than original version. It gets beige colour interiors with leather seat covers and soft touch material padding on doors. The dashboard, steering wheel and many other panels in the car get faux wooden insert.
The SUV is powered by a 2.8 litre diesel engine paired with 5-speed manual gearbox. It is a proper 4×4 SUV. The SUV seen here is a 1995 model Nissan Jonga that is registered in Punjab.
