5000cc V8 Jaguar With 400 Bhp Selling Cheaper Than Maruti Swift

The used car market has seen tremendous growth over the last decade. Not only have mass-market cars become popular, but demand for expensive, used luxury cars has also risen in India. We’ve come across several videos, images, and advertisements where luxury cars worth crores are often sold for less than half of their original price. Here, we have a Jaguar XF luxury sedan available for sale at a price cheaper than a brand-new Maruti Suzuki Swift hatchback.

The post has been shared by a seller, Mr. Rohit Bedi, on OLX. The advertisement was posted from Lajpat Nagar, Delhi, showcasing a grey-colored Jaguar XF luxury sedan. This is not a regular XF but a rare version. It features the 5.0-liter V8 engine, which was the most expensive variant of the car when it was on sale. The ex-showroom cost of this Jaguar XF V8 was around 86 lakh.

The grey sedan in the pictures looks well-maintained, with no visible major dents or scratches on the body. It resembles other variants of the Jaguar XF sedan, featuring projector headlamps, LED DRLs, front parking sensors, a chrome-finished front grille, hood ornament, factory-fitted alloy wheels, electrically foldable and adjustable ORVMs, stock tail lamps, Jaguar badge, along with rear parking sensors and a camera.

As mentioned above, the car appears to be in good condition. In most cases, these cars are well-maintained by their previous owners, as they are usually purchased by people who can afford their upkeep. The sedan has covered approximately 62,000 km and is currently with its second owner. The seller mentioned that the car comes with both keys, valid insurance, and good tires. It is registered in Delhi, and the asking price for this well-maintained XF 5.0-liter V8 sedan is 8.99 lakh.

This price is actually lower than that of a top-end, current-generation Maruti Suzuki Swift hatchback. Price for a brand new Maruti Suzuki Swift starts at around Rs 6.49 lakh, ex-showroom and goes up till Rs 9.60 lakh, ex-showroom.

In fact, it is cheaper than lower variants of some of the sub-4 meter SUVs. While the deal may seem tempting, it is advisable to have the vehicle thoroughly inspected before making a final decision, as these cars are quite expensive to maintain.
