Many people find automatics simpler to drive. But automatic cars are more expensive to buy, whether new or second-hand. New cars cost upwards of Rs 4.5 lakh and that is just entry level models such as Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 and Renault Kwid AMTs. Good used automatics are not exactly cheap, as they are less common. In the last few days, we have tried to find out how cheap automatics get in Mumbai and Delhi. Today, we will scout the Southern market of Chennai, a renowned IT/BPO and manufacturing hub, for automatics.
So, are there any good deals on Automatics on the used car market in Chennai? Well, that depends on the price band one is searching for. To find out, we put this question to Cartoq TRUE PRICE. The tool, powered by Cartoq Data Science team’s Machine Learning model, assesses the TRUE PRICE of a used car, after accounting for variables like brand, model, age, mileage, car type. Tip: The best deals are those where the listed price is lower than the TRUE PRICE. Our earlier exercise for Delhi showed that automatics in good condition come only for upwards of Rs. 5.5 lakh. So is the situation any different in Chennai? The analysis was done on June 3, 2019. By the time you read this, the specific cars might not be available. The list, however, provides useful pointers
