Toyota 4 Runner is a very popular off-road SUV in the foreign market. Unfortunately, Toyota does not sell it in the Indian market. Here, we have a pre-owned 4Runner Surf that is currently on sale in the used market.
It is a 1994 model that is currently on sale in Mumbai. The SUV is registered in Punjab and is still a single-owner vehicle. NOC is also available. This 4Runner is powered by a 1KZ 3.0-litre diesel engine. It is a four-cylinder, turbocharged, SOHC, 2 valve engine that produces 125 PS of max power and a peak torque output of almost 300 Nm. It comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox that drives all four wheels through a 4×4 system.
The advertisement says that the engine is still running smoothly. Being a Toyota, it is quite possible that the engine is still in a good shape. Having said, that it is always a good idea to test drive the vehicle before buying and getting it assessed with a professional mechanic.

Despite being such an old vehicle, it comes with features like all power windows, air conditioning, power brakes and power steering. These are some of the necessary features that a vehicle should have. It even has a rear power window for the tailgate. This is a feature that we usually see only on pick-up trucks.
The owner has also modified the vehicle quite a bit. The suspension of the SUV has been lifted so the ground clearance has been increased. In fact, if you would see the pictures, then you would notice that the 4Runner has been lifted quite a bit. It is now running on Hancook MT tyres. There are also hub locks on the SUV.
Moreover, there is also a roof rack and a spare tyre rack installed to store items. The spare tyre is not using the same alloy wheel though. The stock infotainment has been replaced with an after-market one that supports Bluetooth connectivity. Other modifications include rear-seat entertainment for the rear occupants so that they can have some entertainment while travelling.
The advertisement says that the interior is clean. The owner has also installed rally lights to increase the visibility while off-roading. There are also jerry cans placed on the roof rack.
Being an old SUV, the condition of the vehicle is not perfect. It is missing the fuel filler cap, the rear chrome bumper is damaged from the right side and there is a bit of rust on the jerry cans holder. The tyres do look in a good condition and so is the interior of the SUV. However, it is the exterior that looks a bit rough.
It is important to note that such old vehicles require a lot of caring and the registration certificate would also need to be renewed.
