A brand new video has surfaced on Youtube, showing a Bajaj Dominar chasing the Royal Enfield Continental GT750 test bike. In the video, the Dominar is showing over 160 Kph on the speedometer and the Royal Enfield manages to still outrun it. Here’s the video.

One has to remember that the Dominar has a 373cc single cylinder engine with about 35 Bhp of peak power while the Royal Enfield Continental GT 750 has a twin cylinder engine with an estimated capacity of around 750 cc, and about 50 Bhp of peak power. So, the Royal Enfield staying ahead of the Dominar is not really a big deal.
A similar video was seen in the past where the same bike was seen outrunning a KTM Duke 390. What is indeed a big deal is the fact that the new twin cylinder bike from Royal Enfield will be the first bike produced by it in India to breach the 160 Kph mark. This was achieved previously only by British made Royal Enfields like the Meteor and Constellation 750s.
Royal Enfield is likely to launch two body styles of the new 750cc bike – a street bike styled like the Triumph Street Twin and a cafe racer with styling similar to the Continental GT535. Both bikes will have disc brakes on both wheels, ABS as standard, fuel injection, and a new frame. The bikes have been developed with extensive inputs from Royal Enfield’s Research and Development center in the UK.
Royal Enfield has been testing the Continental GT 750. The bike will be unveiled officially at EICMA in November. It will be the costliest bike that the brand has ever sold in India, with prices expected to be between Rs. 3-4 lakhs. The bike will not only be sold in India but will be marketed in countries all around the world. Royal Enfield already sells its bikes in many countries around the world. The GT 750 will be its flagship model.
