The H5X will be the first to be produced, in early 2019. The SUV is a 5 seater, meant to take on the Hyundai Creta.  It’s expected to be priced competitively, with a starting price of under Rs. 10 lakhs. Based on the Land Rover LS550  platform, the H5X promises to be a class-leader in dynamics and performance.

It will use the Jeep Compass’ 2 liter turbocharged diesel engine in 140 Bhp-320 Nm state of tune, and 6 speed manual  and 9 speed automatic gearboxes.

The 45X will rival the Maruti Baleno and Hyundai i20 Elite. Like the H5X, this car will also be based on Tata Motors’  Impact 2.0 design philosophy. It will however, use the Advanced Modular Platform (AMP), which Tata is expected to use on a range of upcoming cars.

The 45X will be sold with petrol and diesel engines, both borrowed from the Tiago, but with much higher outputs.  While manual gearboxes will be standard, Tata will introduce a twin clutch automatic gearbox on this car sometime in 2020. The official launch will happen in late 2019. Tata Motors has already started road testing the car.

Both the H5X and 45X will also feature high-quality interiors and a plenty of features. They’re expected to segment  leaders in terms of features on offer. The H5X is expected to be produced at the Tata-Fiat factory in Ranjangaon while  the 45X could be produced at Sanand, Gujarat.
