The facelifted Maruti Suzuki Swift B+ segment hatchback is just around the corner and GaadiWaadi has come up with a video that depicts the new features of the car. The Swift Facelift gains a slew of features on the inside, with minor cosmetic detailing changes on the outside. In terms of looks, the car gains L shaped fog lamp inserts, keyless entry switch on the door handle, 15 inch alloy wheels with a different design and reverse parking sensors mounted on the rear bumper.
On the interiors front, a push button start on the dashboard, keyless entry, electrically retracting wing mirrors, a Bluetooth assist for the stereo that also doubles up for phone functions, Bluetooth controls on the steering wheel and the new key fob represent the new stuff on the facelifted Swift. In terms of engines and transmissions, the Swift Facelift retains the 1.2 liter K-Series petrol (86 Bhp-114 Nm) and 1.3 liter turbo diesel (74 Bhp-190 Nm) engines, and the 5 speed manual transmissions that drive the front wheels of the car. The diesel engine, sourced from Fiat, is the pick of the lot for its punchy performance and excellent fuel efficiency.
However, both engines make gains in the fuel efficiency department. The petrol engine improves its fuel efficiency to an ARAI rated 20.4 Kmpl, from a previous 18.6 Kmpl, while the diesel motor now delivers 25.2 Kmpl, as compared to its previous mileage figure of 22.3 Kmpl. While twin airbags and ABS+EBD are offered as standard safety equipment on the top-end ZXi and ZDi variants, the Swift Facelift’s VXi and VDi variants can now be specified with ABS+EBD as an option.Variant to variant, Prices of the facelifted Swift are expected to increase slightly over those of the pre-facelift model. Web reports have already revealed what are touted to be the ex-showroom Delhi prices of the Swift Facelift.
