Audi launched the RS5, which is a powerful version of the A5 Coupe in India recently. The RS5 Coupe is priced at Rs. 1.10 crore, ex-showroom and Virat has become the first owner of the vehicle in India. Virat is the brand ambassador of Audi India and has a range of luxury and sports cars.
The RS5 Coupe launched in India is the second generation of the vehicle and has a strong reputation in the market. It will be imported as a completely built unit (CBU) in the Indian market. The all-new Audi RS5 Coupe gets a new platform that makes the vehicle bigger in dimensions. The new platform also reduces the weight of the vehicle that in turn makes the car a better performer. The car also gets an optional carbon fibre roof that further reduces the weight by 60 kg. The performance version of the Coupe gets aggressively styled exteriors with new bumpers, Matrix LED headlamps, larger front grille, massive air intakes and 19-inch wheels as standard.
The power comes from a 2.9-litre petrol turbocharged petrol engine that replaces the V8 engine from the previous generation. The engine produces a maximum power of 444 Bhp and 600 Nm of peak torque. The new-generation RS5 can sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds. The top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h. Audi offers a Dynamic Package with the RS5 that increases the top speed to a whopping 280 km/h.
The premium car gets many plush features like a flat-bottom steering wheel, Alcantara leather upholstery, aluminium pedals and the Audi Virtual cockpit system with an updated MMI.
This is not the first RS branded vehicle owned by Virat. The cricketer also owns an RS6. Other Audi cars in his garage include the A8 L, R8 V10 and Q7. He also owns a range of luxury vehicles from other brands like Bentley Continental GT and Range Rover Vogue.
