Volkswagen recently launched the facelifted versions of the Polo hatchback and Vento sedan in India. The German manufacturer also offers a sub-4 meter sedan in the market which is called the Ameo. The stylish Volkswagen Polo is getting discounts worth up to Rs. 1.11 lakhs right now. Speaking of which, the base Trendline variant of the car is getting benefits worth up to Rs 68,000. Other select variants in the lineup, on the other hand, are getting discounts worth up to Rs 1.11 lakh which also includes an exchange bonus. As for the engine options available with the Polo, there is a 1.o litre petro unit, a 1.2-litre turbo petrol unit and a 1.5-litre diesel unit on offer with the hatchback.

Talking about its powertrain options, the Ameo comes with a 1.0-litre petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. The former gets a manual option only but the later also gets an option of DCT box.

The Volkswagen Vento takes on the likes of the Toyota Yaris, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Skoda Rapid, Hyundai Verna, and Honda City among others in its segment. The mid-spec Comfortline diesel trim can now be bought at a special price of Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India). apart from this, there are discounts worth up to Rs 1.8 lakh on the range-topping Highline Plus automatic variants.
Talking about the Vento, the sedan comes with three engine options. This includes a 1.6-litre petrol engine, a 1.5-litre diesel engine and the 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine. The 1.6-litre petrol unit comes with a manual transmission, while the 1.2-litre turbo unit gets a dual-clutch auto gearbox and the 1.5-litre diesel gets a choice of both manual and automatic transmissions.
