Volkswagen launches Vento Preferred Edition

Volkswagen launched a special edition Vento named as Preferred Edition. The sedan is targeted at the corporate executives and gets many additional equipment list for the added comfort. The car will be available with the Comfortline variant across all the engine options of the Vento. The Vento MPI petrol, TSI turbo petrol, TDI diesel and TDI diesel automatic will get the special edition pack.

The price of Preferred edition is same the comfortline variants but the prices of the comfortline variants have been dropped by Rs. 50,000. The equipment list of the Vento Preferred edition gets leather seat covers, portable navigation device, wireless rear view camera and more. The exterior receives additions like alloy wheels, roof foil, side moulding to distinguish it from the regular variant.

The Vento gets the new 1.5-litre diesel engine that now comes with a larger, India-sourced turbocharger. The engine produces a maximum of 108 BHP, which is slightly higher than the older engine. The same engine also goes under the Volkswagen Ameo and the Skoda Rapid.

The Vento comfortline comes with a long list of equipment like dual beam headlamps, heat resistant glass for the windows. The car also gets ESP and Hill hold control with DSG variant. Dual airbags, ABS and front disc brakes are standard across all the variants. The car also get automatic climate control with rear AC vent, rear parking sensors.
