Volkswagen launched the most-powerful Poli GTI in India back in 2016. Imported as Completely Built Units and with a price tag of Rs 26 lakhs, ex-showroom, the GTI came to the market in limited numbers. However, to clear the stocks, dealerships started offering a hefty discount of Rs 6 lakh on the car. Only 99 examples of the Volkswagen Polo GTI ever came to India and currently, all of them are sold in the market. Volkswagen does not plan to bring in the new Polo GTI in India, as it becomes quite expensive after the import taxes. Well, you definitely cannot get a brand-new Polo GTI in India unless you privately import it. However, you sure can get a used vehicle in the market and here is one such vehicle, which is up for sale.
Here is a white coloured 2018 Volkswagen Polo GTI from New Delhi, which is up for sale on T-BHP Classifieds. The three-door hot hatchback is priced at Rs 19.5 lakh, which is close to the ex-showroom price of the vehicle when Volkswagen started offering discounts on it in 2017. According to the advertisement, the vehicle has done close to 10,000 km, which is an almost brand-new condition for the vehicle. The advert also mentions that the vehicle is scratch-free. The vehicle is not very old and the condition of the vehicle also remains top-notch.
The reason for selling this vehicle mentioned by the seller is the need for a four-door vehicle. It should be noted that even though the Polo GTI is a three-door hatchback, it offers space for 5 occupants. The rear seats can be accessed by folding down the front seats of the vehicle. However, older people may find it difficult to reach the rear seats as it requires a lot of athleticism.
The ad also mentions that the car will come with very detailed service history and since it is only a year old, the standard warranty will remain applicable to it. The white coloured GTI gets an all-black interior, which makes it look very sporty. Also, even the overall shape of the car remains similar to the Volkswagen Polo, the GTI version looks extremely premium and offers a different set of headlamps and tail lamps. Also, the three-door set-up, an aggressive front grille, GTI badging and a different set of alloy wheel distinguishes the Polo GTI from the regular version of the hatchback.
The Volkswagen Polo GTI gets powered by a 1.8-litre turbocharged petrol engine. It churns out close to 188 Bhp and peak torque fo 250 Nm. The engine gets a 7-speed DSG transmission as standard. In the international markets, there is also a 6-speed manual transmission available with the car. Nonetheless, according to the official figures, the Polo GTI can do 0-100 km/h in just 7.2 seconds and can reach a top speed of 233 km/h.
