Exterior Design

Volkswagen Taigun is based on MQB A0 IN platform. It is the same platform that was also used in Skoda Kushaq. This platform is specifically designed for Indian conditions. Taigun has a design which is unmistakably Volkswagen. It has a European car like design with Volkswagen’s signature SUV grille at the front. The headlamps are positioned in a way that it looks like an extension of the grille itself. LED DRLs are also integrated in it. The headlamps are available as all LED or halogen depending up on the variant.

It has an SUV like stance at the front and coming down, there is chrome garnish that runs from one end of the bumper to the other surrounding the fog lamps. Coming to the side profile, Taigun has a boxy design and there are roof rails that are functional. Taigun will be offered with 17 and 16 inch wheels depending upon the variant you choose.

As we move to the rear, the car gets an all LED tail lamps with an LED light bar running across the boot connecting the tail lamps. Taigun branding is also seen on the lower part of the tailgate. Just like at the front, a chrome garnish can be seen at the rear bumper as well.  Taigun will be offered in Wild Cherry Red, Candy White, Reflex Silver, Carbon Steel Grey and Curcuma Yellow colours.

Volkswagen will be offering Taigun in standard and GT Line versions. The number of features will differ from one variant to the other. The top-end GT Line version of the SUV will be offered with carbon fiber and silver finished inserts on dashboard, fully digital instrument cluster, multi-function steering wheel, cruise control, touchscreen infotainment screen, wireless phone charger, automatic climate control with touch sensitive panel with grooves. This is similar to what we have seen in Skoda Kushaq.
