Below is the full WhatsApp message.

Being a mid-size SUV, the Taigun will be competing against the Maruti Suzuki S-Cross, Kia Seltos, Tata Harrier, MG Hector, Hyundai Creta, Renault Duster, Nissan Kicks and Skoda Kushaq. The price is also in line with most of the competitors while the Harrier and Hector cost more because they are bigger and more powerful SUVs.
The Taigun will share a lot of its underpinnings with the Skoda Kushaq. It will share the engine, transmission, platform and some other bits and pieces with the Kushaq. The Taigun will be powered by a 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine and a 1.5-litre TSI petrol engine. There will be no diesel engine on offer.
The 1.0-litre, three-cylinder TSI will produce 115 PS of max power and 175 Nm of peak torque whereas the 1.5-litre, four-cylinder TSI will produce 150 PS of max power and 250 Nm of peak torque. Both the engines will come mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard. For automatic transmission, the 1.0-litre TSI will get a 6-speed torque converter automatic while the 1.5-litre TSI will get a 7-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
The Kushaq and the Taigun are based on the MQB-A0-IN platform which is a heavily localized version of the MQB-A0 platform that the manufacturers use for the foreign markets. Localizing the platform and other bits have helped in reducing the manufacturing cost of the mid-size SUVs. Volkswagen is aiming at a Localisation level of up to 95%. This is the reason why Volkswagen and Skoda are able to price both vehicles much more aggressively when compared to their other of their vehicles. This new platform also helps in offering one of the best wheelbases in the segment. The wheelbase of the Taigun and Kushaq measures 2,651 mm.
It will come with LED Daytime Running Lamps with twin-pod LED projector headlamps, LED tail lamps, automatic climate control, ambient lighting, electric sunroof, leather-wrapped steering wheel, wireless charging, cruise control, push-button to start/stop, keyless entry, multi-function steering wheel and much more. It will also come with ventilated front seats which are a boon in our climate.
There will be a new 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system that will come with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Type C charging port and connected car technology through the My Volkswagen Connect application. There is also quite a lot of safety equipment on offer such as Hill Hold Control, up to 6 airbags, rear parking sensors with camera, tyre pressure monitoring system and stability control.
