Volkswagen Taigun Prices Slashed By Rs. 1.1 Lakh

Volkswagen has announced a major price reduction on all variants of its Taigun SUV. This price reduction is done with the aim of boosting the sales of the compact SUV amid declining sales. This price drop, which includes cuts of up to Rs 1.1 lakhs, is effective immediately but only for a limited period. This move by Volkswagen aims to attract more buyers by making the SUV more affordable without compromising on quality and features.
Starting with the base variant which is the Taigun Comfortline 1-liter MT variant, there’s a price reduction of Rs 70,000. This price reduction has reduced the cost from the earlier Rs 11.70 lakhs to Rs 11.00 lakhs.
For those who are looking to buy a higher-end model, the Taigun GT Plus Chrome 1.5-liter DCT has been reduced by Rs 75,000, bringing it down from Rs 19.74 lakhs to Rs 18.69 lakhs. Additionally, the same model with extra features now comes at Rs 18.69 lakhs after a discount of Rs 1.05 lakhs.
The more premium GT Plus Edge variants have also seen price revisions. The 1.5-liter DCT variant, which was previously priced at Rs 19.70 lakhs, is now available for Rs 18.90 lakhs, offering a discount of up to Rs 80,000.
The top-tier 1.5 GT Plus Edge DCT variant with added features has received the maximum price cut of Rs 1.1 lakhs. This price cuts brings down the price of this variant from Rs. 20 lakhs to Rs. 18.90 lakhs. Please note that all the prices mentioned are ex-showroom.
With its new pricing structure, Volkswagen has strategically positioned the Taigun to be a more attractive option in the fiercely competitive Indian compact SUV market. After the price adjustments, the SUV is priced between Rs 11.00 lakhs to Rs 18.90 lakhs (ex-showroom). This makes it even more affordable than its Skoda sibling, the Kushaq, which is available at a price range of Rs. 11.89 lakhs to Rs. 20.49 lakhs.
The Taigun is a premium offering by Volkswagen. The top-spec GT Plus variant is equipped with an advanced 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
