Mercedes brought 50 units of Maybach GLS600 to India earlier this year. The German manufacturer has already sold all the units that were allotted to India. The luxury SUV has a starting price of Rs. 2.4 Crores ex-showroom before any customization options. Here, is a video in which we can see sports cars drifting around the Maybach GLS600.
The video is uploaded on YouTube by Horsepower Cartel. In the video, we can see the Mercedes Maybach GLS600 bouncing while high-performance cars like Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG and BMW M3 drift around the luxury SUV. In the video, there are also other expensive cars like BMW M4, Mercedes-Benz E63S, Skoda Octavia RS, Toyota Fortuner etc. All the vehicles meet at an abandoned airstrip which is damped using water from a water tanker. This is done so that the tyres can easily lose traction and the drift can be initiated much easily. After a while, it also starts raining which also aids in drifting.

Stunting is illegal on public roads
It is important to note that drifting comes under stunting and stunting is illegal on public roads. This is because the stunts can get out of hand quite easily and they are very dangerous. On public roads, there are other vehicles and pedestrians too. So, there is a very high chance that in case something goes wrong, the pedestrians can get hurt. Also, the vehicle and the occupants and inside can also get injured. This is the reason that the video is shot on an abandoned airstrip. This reduces the chances of hurting someone in a serious accident.
