Maruti Suzuki unveiled its new crossover SUV, the Fronx, at Auto Expo 2023. The Fronx will be launched on April 7th and its price will be revealed on the same day. It will be offered in five variants: Sigma, Delta, Delta+, Zeta, and Alpha. 1.0-liter turbo-petrol Boosterjet engine or a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine
This new variant of the Thar will likely be called the AX AC and will be the cheapest 4x4 variant offered by the brand. To keep prices low, this model will lack many creature comforts and some aesthetic elements, such as alloy wheels, might not be available.
This will be small est electric car in India. It will have only 2 doors, but will have 4 seats. This is not going to be a cheap car like the Tata Nano. MG will position it as a somewhat premium, col city car.
The Citroen mid-size SUV will take on the popular Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand vitara and Toyota HyRyder. This is built on the Citroen C3 hatch's platform but woud be longer and wider. Only unveiling in April - prices to be revealed later.
Our guess is that the Maruti Fronx and Thar AX AC will be hits. The Citroen is an unknown, as the brand is not yet widely known - but pricing would determine its fate. The Comet will be initially met with skepticism due to its 2-door style and not-so-cheap price.
