MG Comet Electric Car Launched: India's Cheapest EV!

MG Comet Electric Car Launched: India's Cheapest EV!

Introductory price is just Rs 7.98 Lakh

That makes it even cheaper than the Tata Tiago EV, India's cheapest electric car till today. The Tata Tiago EV starts at Rs 8,69 lakh. That makes the MG Comet EV cheaer by Rs 71,000.

Price Comparison

This is just the introductory pricing. So in a few months' time, it is quite likely to go up. However, it is not a direct comparison to the Tata Tiago EV. And the main reason is that the Comet is a 2-door, 4-seater car that is even smaller than the Tata Nano or the Maruti Alto!

The price may go up soon, though

Definitely. If you think the Tata Nano is too small, this is perhaps not the car for you.  The MG Comet is intended as a city runabout for people who are not likely to travel more than 100 kilometers a day.

India's shortest car?

With its quirky and unique design, the MG Comet EV stands out from the crowd.  It features a quadricycle-inspired body design that incorporates upscale features like split headlights, LED elements spanning the width of the vehicle, stylish alloy wheels, a tall C-Pillar, and a dual-tone paint job.

Bookings will start from 15th May, 2023

The MG Comet is 2,974mm long, 1,505mm wide, and 1,631mm tall, with a 2,010mm wheelbase.
