The accident happened on a highway in Maharashtra. The Mahindra XUV500 crashed into the side of the Tata Harrier. The Harrier lost control and hit a pole, and a shop.
Aftre being hit by the Mahindra XUV500, the Tata Harrier went and crashed into a roadside shop. You can see the damage in this pic. The SUV seems to have taken the impact well.
As it was the XUV500 which T-boned the Tata Harrier, its front end has taken the most damage. The entire front grill and bumper have fallen off!
Both the SUVs maintained their structure despite the crash. The A-pillars of both are intact. Harrier's front door is dented but not caved in. All passengers were safe, in both SUVs.
The Mahindra XUV500 received 4 stars in ANCAP, but was not tested by Global NCAP. The Tata Harrier has not been tested by Global NCAP. So for the moment, it does not have a safety rating at all!
