TATA HARRIER OWNER SAYS HIS SUV'S GRILLE & BUMPER MELTED IN BANGALORE HEAT! 

HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN?

Bangalore is not a very hot city usually, but heat has been rising in the recent past. Heavy traffic and concrete buildings add to it.

WHAT THE HARRIER OWNER SAID

The owner, Sourabh, said that his Tata Harrier was parked in the hot sun for 10 hours. He complained on Twitter that Tata wants him to pay for the repairs.

OTHER VEHICLES IN THE  SUN FACED NO ISSUES

The owner said that Tata service center wanted him to pay Rs 30,000 for repairs. But the owner disagrees and believes this is to be repaired free of cost as he did not do anything wrong.

The owner's tweet said this:

Saurav Nahata @iamsauravnahata This is what happened standing for 10 hr in Bangalore Sun on 12th April and @TataMotors_Cars is asking me to pay for it now!

This is probably the first time an incident like this has been reported, where the plastic panels on a car have melted.  The plastic panel below the LED DRL has caved in, and the grille too shows melting.

TATA RESPONDED TO THE CUSTOMER

Unfortunately the resolution provided is to pay for this external factor driven damage(Sunlight) by self without any fault on my side, the owner said.

"Other cars parked at same location under same external factors had no issues what so ever," the owner added.

Tata's cars are tested under extreme weather conditions before launch. And so the plastic panels melting is a very confusing issue. We hope a just resolution is offered b Tata to the customer.
