Yamaha Motorcycles launched their all-new motorcycle FZ-X in the market recently. It is a neo-retro motorcycle and is Yamaha’s first motorcycle in Indian market with a retro design. Yamaha launched it a starting price of Rs 1.16 lakh, ex-showroom. Yamaha had registered the name FZ-X in India last year and they had been working on the motorcycle since then. The all-new Yamaha FZ-X is actually based on Yamaha’s naked motorcycle FZ. Yamaha launched the FZ-X last week and it looks like the bikes have started reaching the dealerships. Here we have a set of images and video that show brand new Yamaha FZ-X motorcycles at a dealership.

The images and the video for Yamaha FZ-X have been shared by mrd_vlogs on their Instagram channel. This is a short video where it shows Yamaha FZ-X bikes in different shades parked outside what looks like a dealership. Vlogger does not share any information except images and videos of the motorcycle. Yamaha FZ-X is available in two variants. There is a variant which comes with Yamaha Motorcycle COnnect feature and the other comes without it. They are priced at Rs 1.16 lakh and 1.19 lakh, ex-showroom respectively.
The Yamaha FZ-X does not get a brand new design. The design has been inspired from Yamaha’s XSR 155 motorcycle that is available on sale internationally. It definitely looks distinct from other motorcycles in Yamaha India’s portfolio. Yamaha FZ-X motorcycle gets a retro looking circular headlamp. The headlamp gets a round LED DRL with projector LED headlamps in it. The muscular looking fuel tank is also seen in the images.
Yamaha is offering FZ-X motorcycle in three different shades. There is a Matt Copper, Matt Black, and Metallic Blue shade available and all these colours are seen in the video and images. The retro design of the motorcycle with modern features is looking good on the motorcycle. There are some silver finished units but, no chrome garnishes are seen on the motorcycle. Yamaha FZ-X gets a fully digital instrument cluster that shows a variety of information in it. It comes with Bluetooth connectivity that shows incoming calls, SMS alerts, malfunction information, battery level, engine oil check, parking record, bike locator, rev meter and so on.
Yamaha when launched the FZ-X had announced that they have already started the booking for this new motorcycle and the first 200 customers who book the motorcycle will be getting a Yamaha original Casio G-shock watch. Bookings can be done directly through the dealership or online. This is actually a great marketing strategy that Yamaha has come up with. The Yamaha FZ-X looks good in these images and we expect to see more of this motorcycle on road soon.
As mentioned above, Yamaha FZ-X is actually based on the regular FZ platform. Although it has a different design, it is based on the same platform. The engine seen on Yamaha FZ-X is the same 149-cc, fuel injected, engine seen in FZ motorcycle. The engine generates 12 bhp and 13.6 Nm of torque. It gets telescopic suspension at front, mono-shock at rear and it gets disc brakes at both front and rear with single-channel ABS.
