Yamaha R15 V3 vs Suzuki Gixxer SF in a drag race: Who takes the crown [Video]

The Suzuki Gixxer SF has caught everyone’s attention ever since its launch a few months back. The Gixxer SF is a pretty stylish bike and the fully-faired version of the naked Gixxer. The new 2019 Gixxer SF update gave it a few extras includinng a full LED headlamp. Another great bike around Rs. 1.5 lakh price mark is the Yamaha R15 V3, which is considered to be one of the best bikes for riding pleasure in cheap. So which among these two 150 cc bikes has the edge when it comes to performance. The video below by Ayush Verma shows just that. Let’s now check the video to see which among the two wins.

Now the Yamaha YZF-R15 V3 is one of the most powerful stock 150 cc bikes in the world and has more power on tap compared to the Suzuki Gixxer SF. However, it is also quite a lot more expensive than its Suzuki counterpart. As for the drag race, the results are in the favour of the Yamaha YZF-R15 V3 as it won both the round. This was expected as the R15 V3 comes with more advanced technologies like VVA and has a more powerful engine.

Note that the riders in this test had a weight difference of nearly 30 kg. This is something that makes a lot of difference in drag racing and the same has been shown in the video above too. In the first round, the lighter rider rode the Suzuki Gixxer SF while the heavier one rode the R15 V3. Though the latter won, the Gixxer SF gave it a good fight up till around 90 km/h. However, when the lighter rider rode the Yamaha YZF-R15 V3.0, it zoomed past the Suzuki Gixxer SF since the start of the race.
