India sees one of the largest numbers of accidents in the world and most of them turn out to be fatal accidents. Why? Well, most motorists do not follow rules and regulations laid down by the government. Here is an example where two youngsters are riding a Bajaj Platina on an empty road while drinking! Watch what happens next.

The video by Dhruv Mundodi Vlogs on Youtube shows two youngsters on a Bajaj Platina without any helmet or safety gear. They are making alcoholic drinks on the way and are drinking while riding. The guy who is riding the motorcycle even removes his hands from the handlebar and lets the motorcycle roll ahead on its own. He also holds the glass with his teeth.

The latter part of the video shows both of them crouching and laying down low on the bike. That is when the rider of the Bajaj Platina lost control of the motorcycle. The pillion rider started to lose his balance and fell off the bike. However, he still held on to the motorcycle and tried pulling himself back on the seat.

The rider finally fell from the bike after trying to get back. We can see that the rider fell straight into a storm drain located on the side of the road. The rider kept on riding. We are not sure about the injuries the pillion rider sustained but it sure looks like a lot of scratches or deep cuts.

It should be noted that drinking and driving is a major offence in India and laws allow imprisonment and hefty fines too. Due to the COVID pandemic, the cops refrain from doing on-spot tests, which is why many drunk drivers get away. It should be noted that drinking alcohol inside the car by occupants other than the driver is also illegal as it is considered as drinking alcohol in a public place.

Drinking causes the body to react slower, which can cause massive accidents. Many accident cases around the world involve drunk driving. In India, the maximum limit of alcohol in the blood is 30 mg per 100 ml. The cops can seize the license if the alcohol level is found above that. In many other states, people can also go to jail for driving drunk and have to pay hefty fines. In recent years, the laws around drunken driving have become very stringent and cops have started to apply them extremely strictly.

Driving or riding under the influence of alcohol causes poor judgement on the roads that increases the probability of an accident by multiple folds. Often, after a heavy drinking session night, the effects of alcohol do not go away the next morning too. Also, alcohol can make your actions slow and lethargic, which is why driving or operating heavy machinery under the influence is extremely dangerous. One should always take a cab or let a sober person drive during such times.
